RUN NO. 2443 LOWER DIPLO 16 JUN15

RUN NO. 2443
DATE: 16 JUN 2015
SITE: LOWER DIPLO
HARES: RYVITA/PEACHY KEAN/ITCHY FEET/MEAN MACHINE

Thanks hares.  A hash with a difference.

We all assembled at Lower Diplo.  The only information we had was that there were no hills.  (I wonder if the hares use the same dictionary as me).

We set off through a section of beautiful jungle following paper.  Tongs tested the bridge for strength but no harm done.

In what seemed no time at all we exited the jungle.  There was a surreptitious checking of Sports Tracker which showed we had covered one and a half kilometres. No cause for alarm though as Peachy Keen in one hand held a type written message and with the other hand handed us a small, reviving tonic to assist our travels.

So it was back to the sign in to sign out and a quick car trek to the Upper Diplo where we signed in again. Paper mysteriously changed colour at this point as we headed into the jungle again.  Another check with a difference where we were offered the choice of a shot, answering a riddle or a five push ups if we were to continue on. We decided on the riddle and Goodnight Kiwi managed to come up with the right answer.   One more jaunt through the jungle and were given the same three choices.  We decided on the riddle again and Hornbill managed to come up with answer quite quickly!  So this week’s s run not only exercised our legs but our brains too! A great idea hares, perhaps we could amend the hash rules to make this mandatory for every run.

At the Shout Up, Twinkletoes enquired whether we were still capable of walking in a straight line.  Great applause followed from some tiddly hashers.  Hares, Peachi.Keen, Ryvita, Mean Machine and Itchy Feet had a down down.    Front horn was Ally with Sam I Am as back horn.  First time guest, Chantelle from Oz, was given the traditional Dizzy welcome.  (Chantelle shows great hash potential as she downed her water in one swallow).  June birthday babes, Velma and Dizzy celebrated their birthdays.

A few announcements i.e. dishes left behind last week, stack plastic chairs as you leave, Kids Hash at Rapier Range this Sunday and lastly but not least, Possum sent greetings from Noosa Hash.  Subs are due for part two of the year.  A joke was provided courtesy of Mrs Pingu's dad.  It is a good job she has a holiday soon as she is now out of jokes.  Hash-it was given to Licker for failing to school her first time guest appropriately.

Next weeks run is at Salambigar Falls with the OnOn at No 2 Simpang 115-20-13 Jalan Madang.
