On site
Well, the rain held off even though there was rumbling thunder in the distance. The front horn was replaced by a front whistle as Hash House (who had the front horn) unfortunately didn't make it to the run.
Waiting for the horn to start....
After a wee glitch where the front runners headed off the wrong way we set off into the unknown, GI Jane country that is. No one knows these trails at Menteri like she does. We weren't disappointed. We saw waterfalls and beautiful jungle and.... oh yes, HILLS. And lots of them. At one point I thought "ah, we should be out soon" but it wasn't meant to be. The trail took us back in. Long but lovely.
first water crossing.
Very well laid ladies. Lots of paper. Most of us emerged around 6.30-6.45 pm just as the light was falling. Unfortunately there were a few hashers behind who had to cope with the dark. Above and beyond her duty, Peachy Keen went back in and stood blowing the whistle for the remainder to follow. Well done Peachy Keen.... a true hasher. You did above and beyond your duty. The remainder were out safely by 7.30
Safely out in the dark
The onon didn't disappoint with three first time guests introduced. Two medical students on secondment here and a new ISB teacher. It was a challenging run for these first timers but they seemed to enjoy it and hopefully will come again.
First time guests
The has shit was passed on toe Gerry who forgot to sign in her guest. She took it well and I'm sure wont do that again in a hurry.
No plea would stop the hashit coming!
The whole evening was rounded off by Mrs Pingu's infamous laksa. Enjoyed muchly by all.
This week's run is something a little different from the normal serasa hill run. There will be short and long run. Please wear long trousers and sleeves and plenty of spray. Its quite bitey in there.
NEXT RUN: KAPOK KANAN (Manx run)
HARES: WONDER WOMAN/HOT LIPS/SAM I AM
