Getting ready for the hill challenge  Strolling at the back Rachael expresses how she feels! Still smiling as we came down the hill Rewarded by a beautiful Brunei sunset First time guest of Tiger Moth Returnees Hares with the amazing foodI know what you were all thinking last Tuesday.....mmmm...long or short...is it really 4.5 km or shall I stay on the short. It's Subok...that means lots of hills....they are all front runners...yikes that means they are going to make us work..but needless to say it was another great run and we had nothing to worry about. Swear maybe, but worry no. Kindly they put that lovely hill at the start ...I know this is a family show so I won't include any quotes from the ladies. First check was a queen quick find by Yogi Beer which soon saw the split into short and long run. Fantastic views of Kota Batu at the top of the hill with - yes - a Kodak moment with your hash buddy. 2nd check was devious and queen found yet again by Yogi Beer..who was sniffing out the trails for hash hound. Kota Batu trails soon led us back into the jungle as we headed home, with enough time for one more check to bring us out onto the open land leading to the on on site before dark. There was lots of ups and downs..plenty of trips and dry leaves - giving a really good queen work out. Special drinks and lollies were provided on our return. Wow, it was an amazing queen turn out of over 50 hashers including two returning hashers - Lassie and Debbie, our regular returnee - Satu Lagi and one first time guest. Food was super delicious and healthy and the shout up was fully of happy chatty hens. No queen hash-it was awarded...although a close shave for Peachy Keen with her ISB Notice announcements. Next weeks run is the British run...help us celebrate a special ladies birthday - so wear red/ white or blue or green, bring your swimmers for a dip and remember to leave with plenty of time to avoid the traffic.
