It’s me again!! Sorry. Late arrival due to ‘contact time’ aka ‘boring waste of time meeting’. Just in time to see the pack head off uphill past the huts and outbuildings of the Lo estate!
As per, the “Three Hashketeers” Madam Sin, Jan M and I headed off following paper, uphill following the rest, who this week, were following….. - paper! Shock! Horror! Lots of trips and cut bits to clamber over as we headed through the bracken with side views of the Singapore Army Camp.
Approaching the top, we could hear lots of shouts and laughing. No. it wasn’t the pack but a group of young foreign workers having an impromptu game of football at their building site. Polite greetings were exchanged. They were ‘malu’ (shy) but informed us a) where the paper was, and b) the way to cut out to J Muara. But being ‘malas’ (lazy) we wished them ‘Selamat tinggal’and returned the way we came.
As we tripped downhill, we were overtaken by the pack which had completed the lollipop and were rushing homeward down the stick! First check was found by Vania and 2nd by Karen P – well done ladies. Mandie noted that the paper was extra big this week and it was very much appreciated because of her short-sightedness!!
A sedate group amassed under the tent for gossip and refreshments. Thanks to front horn Readymix and back Jane W. Many thanks also to the hares, Judy Tina and Yann for a short run and delicious satay. Special thanks to Judy who laid the out trail so expertly. Awards went to Sarah B for 50 runs and greetings were extended to birthday girls Naj and Cath – and so the night progressed. On On!
Next week: Morley Movers
Hares: Mandy/Smurf/Madam Sin/Tiga
