SITE: DIPLO

What Butt with Kaiyisah

Wet? No problem.

The recee with Junior Hash member Kaiyisah

Wet, wet, wet, muddy, muddy, muddy, slippery, slippery what more can I say!
Hares - Jenni/Hotlips/Pee Wee & Trailblazer
Waiting for the hens to start their run.

Glamour coming in on the out trail.

A short run in the gloom with water falling from the sky! Muddy start, middle and end. Flat then up and then down, to the tune of 'Slip sliding away'. 'One hasher on her bum as that was safer than trusting her knees!
Waiting to start

All smiles with Lassie (with bells)

One check- follow the river, turn right, follow the tributary and you're 'on paper'. (N chance of keeping your feet dry.) All good and easy until Yogi Beer runs out of paper to lay through. Never fear - Downward dog and Itchy feet halve all the paper they can find and no one gets lost. Then it's up-up, up and a beautiful undulating run via?George's (that Bill's dog - ed) or Bill's ridge to the end.
(There was a 2nd check.... did no one find that? at the top of the ridge. Ed)
First check found.

'Happy is the bride that gets rained upon' is a saying - Well if it is 'Happy are the JM's that get wet' we will have a VERY happy year.
And out....

Welcome to Downward Dog's mum visiting from Florida. A tearful goodbye to Lassie (thanks for the jingle round the forest). Good luck in Kazakhstan.

Lovely food thanks Lassie and a wet drive home

See you all next week.

Hares Ryvita & Mean Machine

So here's the first run report for a new hashing year. Founders Day, where to start? Ryvita and Mean Machine had been very busy preparing a whole lotta fun for us, no ordinary run was it to be!

Instructions from Hare Mean Machine

Everyone was put into a te4am and each team had to complete a series of tasks to gain wristbands, the winning team having acquired the most bands.
One of the teams

I think. This is where I'm not much help in explaining what happened next as I was duly manning my post.  Our pondok involved looking at a Christmas scene, running round the back and recreating it exactly the same. This was rather well done by most teams, Rachael had a total mental block on where the red tree topper should go, but her team rallied round and Rainbow Connection nailed it! I have no idea what any of the other tasks were but I know they involved sand bags, Frisbees and buckets of water and blindfolds.

Upon return to the YC, a song had to be performed and we were treated to a cracking performance by the winners!

The shout up was fabulous, our outgoing JMs did a fantastic job. The rest of the hash certainly did Bling it on, my eyes hurt from all the sequins. Awards were presented \, outgoing committee thanked, incoming committee introduced, and as often happens on Founders' Day, the night then descended into the usual debauchery and destruction.  The bar did a good job, I'm just surprised there was anything left at all.

How to top that next year? As the oldest ladies-only hash in the whole wide world, we reach the ripe old age of 50.  So let's make this our best year yet! onon

RUN NO. 2464
DATE: 10 NOV 2015
SITE: DIPLO
Instructions from JM Squeak

Last Run at Diplo before Founders Day!
Due to an Army Cadet operations exercise we were not able to access the jungle as planned.
That did not matter much as hares Alison, Cheryl and Black Beauty improvised swiftly and took us back and forth over the streams, up through known territory and some not so known too.
Gin trap was elated as she'd found her first "on paper".

Moving on from first check Hash hound calls "on up on right" and ..........."on left camouflaged men".
Coming up behind her I was slightly confused on what she was on about but oh yes,
in the bush on the left were 3 random camouflaged guys.
We did then wonder how many more we'd missed?!

On on carried on at Cheryl's house with JM's being more jolly than usual.
I wonder why?

Very eager to dish out the hash shit, 5 of us including myself gladly accepted the little water thrown upon us and then we tucked into all the yummy food that everyone had brought, it was delicious!!

RUN NO. 2463
DATE: 3 NOV 2015
SITE: DST
HARES: TRAILBLAZER/GOOD NIGHT KIWI/YOGI BEER

Hares: Yogi Beer/Goodnight Kiwi/Trailblazer

It was quite a night for the Ladies Hash on Tuesday. A fun filled evening for a very good cause, Breast Cancer awareness. Probably all of us know someone who has suffered this terrible scourge, if not breast cancer then one of the other cancers, all equally devastating.

The site looked festive as we arrived at DST and we got stuck in to the job in hand – preparing the donated gifts for the tombola.

Front runners: Itchy Feet & Ryvita

Then the horn sounded and we were off into the jungle walking past the security guards, guarding the jungle?!*@! What a boring job, we must have made their day!

Most of the run was easy walking and nice and then there was the stinky swamp! ( I got home to discovered there was no water at my house! I managed to squeeze a basin full for a chilly mandi, not enough to scrub the mud off my legs though!)

Back at the site the tombola and raffle ticket ladies were in full swing encouraging the hens to part with their cash.
Happy winners

Smurf & Twinkle Toes

The shout up got under way with guest star GM in fine form. The hares, Trailblazer, Goodnight Kiwi and Yogi Beer were thanked and down-downed. Front horn Mrs. Pingu and back horn Full Steam Ahead were also thanked.

We had a first time guest, Geraldine an ISB teacher from UK. Two returning members, Rachel and Rush Hour.

Announcements – See Peachy Keen for sponsorship for Cancer Awareness Week.

Yogi Beer will have purple v-necked tee shirts for sale next week.

Alison had baked goods for sale.

Raffle and Tombolo raised (at least) $450. (thanks to all)

Yogi Beer, again, bacon for sale. Zumba at Health Promotion Centre, 8.30 – 10.00
(think this is on Sunday!)

Smurf announced St. Andrews Society will have their Chieftain’s Dinner on the 12th November at Kota Batu Yacht Club. See Smurf for details.

Smurf also ‘hinted’ that supplies would be limited on Founders Day, nudge nudge, wink, wink!

Please BYO as there is no selling on the premises.

Yann told us that Yacht Club members will sign in as usual at RBYC and non-members need their IC or passports as surety.

Psycho ‘encouraged’ us with her dulcet tones to buy notebooks.

Then onto entertainment, Black Beauty and Yogi Beer delivered jokes and Mrs. Pingu got the Hash Shit for ‘failing to inform her guest she needed to pay for the run’,

Phew, lots of information.

A very entertaining evening for a very good cause.

Next week’s run is at Diplo. Usual Diplo run, ups and downs with a bit of water thrown in.

NEXT RUN: DIPLO - Bring and share a plate of food.

RUN NO. 2462 LUCKY GARDENS 27OCT2015

RUN NO. 2462
DATE: 27 OCT 2015
SITE: LUCKY GARDENS (HALLOWEEN RUN)
HARES: Pyscho, Miss Goody Two-shoes, Led Astray, Ripper, Pedigree Pup. Twinkletoes and Squeak

Some of the hares: Led Astray/Psycho & Ripper looking cool in their dress up.

The end of October and all the ghouls and ghosties were out to celebrate. The evening began with our own mortuary toe tags.  What fun swapping our demises.

The run had a hair-raising start, crossing the great divide between road and the there-after.  There was a swift climb on various colours of paper.  Something went wrong part way round and the paper vaporised into the atmosphere.  Not to worry, an excuse to head back for the evening's entertainment.

On arrival at the cemetery, hashers were greeted with tasty tidbits provided by the hares.  Strong smelling but interesting, who would have thought durian so versatile.
Guest trying Durian

Those present judgged the hash was judged fiendish with a tricky on-paper.

They did so much to put the "hallow" in halloween with their realistic gravestones, hanging corpses, mortuary toe tags. Black Beauty, an able assistant in producing a suitable atmosphere.  Itchy feet and Sam-I-am were the horns.

The night saw three first time guests but only one brave enough to remain for the shout up.  Well done, Rennie from the US, brought by "Downfacing dog".  Whoops a hash-it earned straight away.
Fifty runs award went to Hornbill.

Best dressed hashers were the recipients of pumpkin butter.  A few jealous hashers out there wishing it were them.

Food was magnificent. Thanks again to the hares and Rachel for the food.

A wad of notices were announced. All hash committee positions are now full. The St Andrews chieftains dinner is 12th November at Kotabatu Yacht Club.  Grateful thanks were passed to the Oktoberfest hares and JMs for Saturday's extravaganza.  A Craft Bazaar is coming up.   More information followed thick and fast but zombies move slow and it proved impossible to keep up with typing the information.  You had to be there to catch it all.

Jokes were invited. Squeak suggested the Halloween riddles that followed should be mummified
as all had  degenerated to Kid's Hash level.

A hash would not be a hash without the hash-it being given although whether Psycho should have been doused with cold water is debatable bearing in mind her health status.

NEXT RUN: DST (CANCER AWARENESS) - Pink Attire would suit.

Cards to look for in the jungle.

There were slips and slides
There were ups and down
Either way it goes
The jungle is full of fun

Cards to pick up in exchange for gifts.

With vines that tear
And grass that cuts
Your skin will be raw
With bleeding and such

It was a lollypop
So I was told
Well isn’t that nice
Short stick, enough to hold

Back at the tent
Refused beer I did
For I was sickly
That nobody believed

A rainbow was connected
A hasher saying goodbye
A piñata game to be had
Poor chicken got hit in the eye

Good food great company
OnOn Good Evening
Remember to dress up
For its Halloween

RUN NO. 2460
6 OCT 2015
SITE: KM104.7 NCR TOWARDS JERUDONG
HARES: JENNY FROM THE BLOCK/ALICE IN WONDERLAND
FRONT HORN: HASH HOUND  BACK HORN: NEVER WRONG

Hares

Well another Tuesday but a very different site, a new one for the Ladies hash. We set off early to beat the traffic and to ensure we arrived on time not being absolutely sure where the site was, but it was actually very well marked and easy to find, maybe not so easy to get off we thought !!
Trying to remember where the signs were positioned for later collection we headed in folowing H3 signs on to a muddy track towards the tent. Not many hens gathered compared to the recent high numbers but it is half term so we assume some are off enjoying themselves away from the abode.
Signed in and ready to go we were informed by the JM's that it was a short run and as we scanned the horizon it wasn't going to be a very jungly run either.

Paper was hunted down and front horn Hash Hound and back horn Never Wrong sounded us off back along the muddy track we had all driven down. A scramble over moonscape, plus very muddy patches found us at first check. Many were looking but it was still not found as we approached, so being ever intrepid Cheryl and I went off back checking and found the paper – onon paper pause

The trail went in to what would have once been trees and scrub but which was now blackened tree trunks and grasses desperately trying to reestablish themselves in the ashes of the previous fire by this time everyone was streaked with blackened ash marks on asses, legs, arms the lot as we found ourselves climbing probably the only hill around. Up and over to hear second check being called by Ready Mix, back to the right and back down to the open area to see the cars and tent but not directly back as we circled round on the muddy roads to reappear behind the tent.

Thank you ladies for a different site and gentle run, followed by excellent food.

The shout up as always even with reduced numbers was a lively and noisy affair, one guest – welcome, welcome, welcome.
Guest Diana

3 new members but one was missing – welcome, welcome, welcome and of course Dizzy was back so the hash-it was assured unfortunately for Dizzy she hadn't signed out but even more unfortunately she admitted to it and no one had noticed!!!! She wasn't alone as a hash teeshirt was missing from one of members (sorry didn't catch your name) and both got a serious drenching from the JM Twinkle Toes.
New members: Yanna & Geri
Great hashit for Dizzy & Ariadna

NEXT RUN: Paper starts at top of hill, Park at bottom of hill and Sign in. - Bring a chair to ONON
