Hare arriving at site....
GM Bunny Girl expressing her sentiments! Oh it is very very wet.
Wet feet...
The hares looking happy that everyone's out..... and they did not have to go in.
Not Yet, on her very last run....... (after the last)
More wet feet...
We arrived to a new Morley Movers site to find tent going up and the rain coming down. It was great to see our Bionic Woman – Trailblazer - back safely from Singapore with her shot put winning arm!!
Slowly ladies started to arrive, then shortly after Dizzy as Front Horn honked away and off everyone went. Fertile Myrtle took back horn.
Unfortunately I stayed behind with a bunch of other hashers who found the driving rain enough to drive us under the tent.
But no sooner had the horn sounded and Squeak was back – blood running down leg – close encounter with a drain and the drain won. So after some quick expert medical attention from me she was fighting fit again. More hashers kept arriving but went for a quick wet stroll and back to the protection of the tent.
The hares arrived wondering if they’d need to go in – as it was getting dark fast, raining harder and still 7 odd ladies left in. The tent seemed to offer some shelter but you needed to be able to wade through the waist deep mud that literally sucked you to the ground.
After a while many ladies left for drier places - - as in home - - and eventually our ladies in the jungle made it out. They had made it to second check but the rain was so heavy and it was getting so dark that when they separated to look for the paper they couldn’t hear each other – so extremely excellent decision to turn around and head back out the way they came in. Ladies – Excellent Hashing Skills in wild weather!!!
Out they came – soaked but happy. Most ladies seemed to depart and we were left with a small handful for the shout up. We welcomed back returning hasher Sarah (Velma’s daughter) over from Aussie for a holiday. Great to have you back!! It was a quick shout up and Dizzy gave us a great joke. We decided that everyone was soaked enough without needing hashit.
The hares provided some beautiful yummy tomato soup with aioli and French loaf… it was perfect for the conditions.
Thanks ladies for a great hash and food.
